People’s Choice Taxidermy Display and Competition

Held only at the Northern Wisconsin & Minnesota Deer Classics

The Taxidermy Display is a very popular part of the Deer Classic.  Thousands of show attendees spend a lot of time looking at the various entries.  We want the Taxidermy Display to be a showcase for working Taxidermists.  We expect the work presented to be of the quality the consumer could expect when they take a prized trophy in to be mounted. Each entry will be identified with a sign provided by the show, listing the name and location of the Taxidermist.  Business cards may be displayed only on the Registration table.

Entries will be placed on display as they are received and registered.  An identification sign will be completed by the show staff, showing the name and location of the Taxidermist and displayed with the entry.  There will be seven categories which are:

(1) Large Mammal-Full Mount
(2) Rug
(3) Birds
(4) Small or Medium
Mammal
(5) Big Game Head
(6) Fish
(7) Novelty
.

There will be a limit of two entries per category.  A person may enter as many categories as they wish.  There is a $20.00 registration fee per entry.

The public will vote for their favorites on Saturday between Noon and 2:00 p.m.  Ribbons and statuettes will be displayed with the winning pieces as soon as judging is completed.  After the tabulation of votes and placing of awards, winning entries will be photographed for newsletter publication.

Entries should be brought to the Northern Wisconsin Deer Classic Friday after  12 noon and during show hours.  At the Minnesota Deer Classic entries can be brought to the show on Thursday evening between 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. or after the show opens on Friday at 3:00 p.m.  No entries will be accepted after 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning.  Entries should be removed beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday the last day of the show.  All entries should be removed no later than 4:00 p.m. Sunday.
